We are not a lender
BorrowLinkNow does not make loans, does not make credit decisions and does not broker loans. We operate a website where you can submit a loan request. We share that request with lenders and lending partners in our network, and we are paid by them when they receive it. We do not charge you any fee.
We cannot guarantee that you will be connected with a lender, that a lender will approve you, or that you will be offered the amount you requested. We do not control and are not responsible for the actions of any lender.
What a loan may cost
Because we are not a lender, we cannot tell you the exact APR, fees or terms you would be offered. The lender sets them, and they depend on the lender, your state’s laws, the loan type and your circumstances. The lender is required to give you the APR, all fees and the repayment schedule in writing before you agree.
The figures below are illustrations of what loans of this kind commonly cost, not offers.
| Example | Amount | Finance charge | Term | APR |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Single-payment loan, $15 per $100 | $500 | $75 | 14 days | 391% |
| Single-payment loan, $30 per $100 | $500 | $150 | 14 days | 782% |
Installment loans are repaid over several months and their APRs vary very widely by state and lender. Some states cap rates well below the examples above; others do not.
Short-term loans are expensive
These loans are meant for short-term needs. They are not a solution for ongoing expenses or existing debt. Borrow only what you can repay on time. If you are having trouble with debt, consider speaking with a nonprofit credit counselor.
Late or missed payments
If you pay late or miss a payment, your lender may charge late or returned-payment fees, report the account to consumer reporting agencies, and send it to collections, as allowed by your loan agreement and the law. Your bank may also charge you fees for returned payments. Ask your lender about its policies before you agree.
Renewals
Some lenders allow a loan to be renewed or extended, which adds further fees. Whether this is permitted depends on the lender and on state law. Renewal is not automatic unless your loan agreement says so.
Credit checks
Lenders who receive your request may verify your information and obtain consumer reports about you from consumer reporting agencies, including the national credit bureaus and specialty agencies. Some of these checks may affect your credit score.
Availability
This service is not available in every state, and lenders in our network do not lend in every state. Residents of some states may not be eligible for some or all loan types. Active-duty service members and their dependents are covered by the Military Lending Act, and many lenders in our network cannot offer them these loans.
